During the visit, President Sadıkoğlu said that after the earthquake disaster in Turkey, Civil Defense Organization Presidency, who participated in search and rescue activities in the wreckage of Isias Hotel and its surroundings, where 35 of our citizens, including our children, lost their lives in Adıyaman, and led the search and rescue teams together with Nicosia Regional Manager Mustafa Duyar. On behalf of the Turkish Cypriot people, he thanked the Iskele Regional Manager, Cemal Betmezoğlu. President Sadıkoğlu and his delegation, who received information from Betmezoğlu about the possible Cyprus earthquake, what can be done before and after it, also exchanged views on the Pier announced by the Civil Defense Organization Presidency and the places where the people of the region can gather in emergencies. During his visit, Mayor Sadıkoğlu was accompanied by the Deputy Mayor of Iskele Municipality, Halil Dericioğlu, and the Council Members Kubilay Aşık, Zekiye Gece and Ahmet Yanmaz.
