The nationwide strike is set to begin at 12pm and end at 3pm is linked to demands for cost of living allowance (CoLA).

The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce (Keve) stressed employees have the right to strike however those three hours would not be paid.

It also added employees also have the right to abstain from the strike.

Cyprus Airways announced a number of flight changes with some departing earlier and some later (details below). It apologised to the public for the inconvenience that it said was out of its control.

Media outlets will also be participating in the three-hour strike as will judges, and hospital staff. Emergency services for electricity and healthcare will not be affected as they will operate with skeleton staff.

The strike will affect local, rural and intercity buses between 12-3pm. The post office announced it will also not be working for those three hours.

Affected flights to depart 30 minutes earlier:

CY310 Larnaca – Athens 06:40 – 08:20

CY311 Athens – Larnaca 09:20 – 10:45

CY110 Larnaca – Tel Aviv 11:40 – 12:40

Other changes:

Flight CY415 Yerevan – Larnaca 13:50 – 15:10 will be delayed by one hour and 10 minutes

Flight CY120 Larnaca – Beirut 17:00-17:50 will be delayed by one hour

Flight CY121 Beirut to Larnaca 18:50-19:35 will be delayed by one hour

Flight CY312 Larnaca to Athens 20:25 to 22:05 will be delayed by one hour

Flight CY313 Athens to Larnaca 22:55-00:30 will be delayed by one hour

Flight CY340 Larnaca to Rome 16:40 – 19:00 will be delayed by one hour and 30 minutes

Flight CY341 Rome to Larnaca 20:00 to 23:59 will be delayed by one hour and 30 minutes.

There will be no impact on flights CY111 from Tel Aviv to Larnaca 14:10 – 15:10 and CY414 from Larnaca to Yerevan 06:40 – 11:40.
