Media outlets will not be around to report on any polls related to the presidential elections after January 28, the Cyprus broadcasting authority (CRTA) announced on Wednesday.
The legislation forbids the transmission of any polls seven days before an election. With the first round of presidential elections set to take place on February 5, the last day for press to report on the polls is on January 28 at midnight.
Not abiding with the circular from the broadcasting of authority may lead to disciplinary measures, CRTA specified.
